    • Always read the warning label at the bottom of the candle.
    • Cover your candle when not in use to avoid collecting dust and debris on the surface. This can cause a hotter burn and can be a fire hazard.
    • When lighting your candle for the first time make sure the wax has melted across the entire surface as this will ensure an even burn.
    • A correct flame for your candle is one that does not flicker, it is even and upright. If your flame is flickering from side to side, remove it from the draught or trim the wick.
    • To reduce carbon build up
      • Keep candle away from draughts as this will reduce your burn time
      • Ensure the wick is trimmed to 3-4mm before lighting
      • If you are burning the candle for a long period and the wick lengthens, extinguish the flame, trim the wick and relight
    • If you do have a bit of carbon soot collect around the candle holder, wait until the candle is set and wipe with a warm cloth. Do not scour.
    • Good practice is to not burn a candle for more than 4 hours at a time (or trim the wick and relight).
    • Once the candle holder is empty, to remove the residue - place the holder in hot (not boiling) water and gently wipe the melted wax out with paper towel. Then wash in warm water.
    • The dome can be cleaned with warm soapy water, rinse and dry - taking care not to rub hard on the image.
    • Do not use chemicals or scourers as this will remove the message and colour finish from your candle holder.
